Densities & Applications:
Polystyrene is manufactured in different densities:
Low Density (12SD to 14XG)
- Low cost packaging
- Creative projects
Medium Density (15DV)
More dense and good for cavity wall insulation
High Density (20DV)
Great fo applications that require compressive strength
- Below concrete floor slab insulation
- Above concrete roof insulation
Extra High Density (24DV - 30DV)
This is the highest density polystyrene. It is used for raising concrete slabs and specific engineering applications.

Our polystyrene sheets and blocks are cut and distributed on order from our cutting facilities in:
Johannesburg (Walk in facility, cutting & distribution centre)

Port Elizabeth (Cutting & distribution centre only)
Deliveries & Costs
Our online platform offers delivery costs within a 50km radius of the cutting facility.
If you are outside this radius. proceed through checkout. It will give you an option to get a delivery quote from us during checkout.
Thermal R-Values:
Polystyrene is an exceptional thermal insulator. Thermal insulation is measured as an R - Value (increasing with thickness). Architects use this for insulation specifications.
